Welcome to Perfect Yummy!
I’m Chloe Hartley — recipe developer, baking enthusiast, and firm believer that food is much more than just fuel. It’s creativity. It’s family. It’s celebration. It’s comfort. And most importantly, it’s joy. That’s the philosophy I bring to every recipe I create here at Perfect Yummy.
My love for cooking started long before I could even see over the kitchen counter. I remember sitting on a stool, watching my mom roll out dough for her famous cinnamon rolls while the scent of vanilla and butter filled the air. At the same time, my grandmother was teaching me the basics of savory cooking — hearty casseroles, slow-cooked roasts, and simple vegetable dishes made with love.
From those early experiences, food became my passion and my creative outlet. Unlike other kids who doodled superheroes or animals, I was sketching out imaginary layer cakes and pizza toppings in my school notebooks. By the time I was a teenager, I was cooking full meals for my family and hosting bake sales at school.
But food wasn’t just about making something delicious. It was about bringing people together. Every family gathering, holiday, or rainy Sunday afternoon centered around the kitchen. Cooking became my love language, my way of expressing care and creating memories.
As I grew older, I continued to explore the culinary world. I devoured cookbooks, took cooking classes, and worked in local cafés and bakeries. I also traveled as much as I could, learning from street vendors, home cooks, and professional chefs from around the world. From vibrant Thai curries to delicate French pastries, I discovered new techniques and flavor profiles that expanded my cooking style while staying true to my roots.
That’s what led me to create Perfect Yummy. I wanted a space where I could share not only recipes but also the joy, creativity, and sometimes chaos that comes with real-life cooking. Here, my goal is to help home cooks of all skill levels feel confident, inspired, and excited to try new things.

What makes my recipes different? I focus on making dishes that work — they’re tested, approachable, and adaptable. I know that not every day allows for three hours in the kitchen, so I strive to create options that suit real life. Whether you have 20 minutes or want to dive into a Sunday baking project, there’s something here for you.
But beyond the food, Perfect Yummy is about community. It’s about connecting with others who share a passion for making and enjoying great food. I believe that cooking should be a joyful, ongoing learning process — not something to stress over or “perfect.” Because often, the most memorable dishes aren’t flawless. They’re the ones that made people smile, sparked conversation, and filled the room with laughter.
So, whether you’re a seasoned cook looking for fresh inspiration or a kitchen newbie taking your first steps, I’m thrilled to welcome you here.
Thank you for visiting Perfect Yummy. Let’s cook, create, and savor every delicious moment together!
With sweetness and spice,
Chef Chloe Hartley
