Ingredients
– 3 ripe bananas
– 1 cup yogurt (plain or flavored)
– ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
– ¼ cup chopped nuts (optional)
– ¼ cup shredded coconut (optional)
– Popsicle sticks
– Wax paper (for storage)
Instructions
Follow these simple steps to create your own Frozen Banana Pops with Yogurt:
1. Prepare Bananas: Peel the bananas and cut them in half crosswise. Insert a popsicle stick into the cut end of each banana half for easy handling.
2. Coat with Yogurt: Place the yogurt in a bowl. Dip each banana half into the yogurt, making sure it’s evenly coated. You can use a spatula to smooth out the yogurt if necessary.
3. Add Toppings: If desired, sprinkle the chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or shredded coconut on top of the yogurt-coated bananas before they freeze.
4. Arrange on Wax Paper: Place the yogurt-coated bananas on a sheet of wax paper on a baking tray. Make sure they don’t touch each other to prevent sticking.
5. Freeze: Transfer the baking tray to the freezer. Allow the banana pops to freeze for at least 4-6 hours or until they are firm.
6. Serve: Once frozen, remove the pops from the tray and peel off the wax paper. They are now ready to be enjoyed!
